24th Novmeber, Saturday

Chloe
Hunting around the shoot ground. Antis and police all out. They laid some trails. The first trial we went pretty quickly and the hounds ran the trail really well, although they did get quite strung out, so the huntsman ended up with the end hounds, whilst the lead hounds were miles in front.

We had a line of hedges to jump, and decided to try Chloe, and she sailed over them so was really pleased.

The next trail ran really well, and we did a load of tiger traps, and again she was jumping really well. It was quite a fast pace, and then when the hounds came to the end of the trail we all pulled up again to wait while the next trail was laid.

Off we go again, and a few more jumps, and then quite a big hedge. Set Chloe for it, but she didn't like the look of it at all, so gave her a whack, and kicked on a bit harder. Unfortunately as she had backed off the fence, we were now a long way off, and she just fell through the hedge, and tried to get to her feet the other side, but there was a big ditch which she fell in.

Fortunately I was thrown clear and off Chloe galloped. Luckily one of the hunt staff was on the quad and came and picked me up.

Well, I think apart from a few bruises we are ok.

Not sure if I'll be jumping too many big hedges for a while.
