Sorrel
Went to trainthatdog.com for a class today. Jonny was also there so it was nice to see them.
We had to do quite a lot of sit in a wet field. In fact it poured with rain all night and morning and I have left all the horses in today as the field has just water laying on it at the moment.
Sorrel was not impressed with sitting in the field, but actually towards the end she did.
We had to do a 'sit stay' with all the puppies tied to the fence. We were only to return to them when they were in the sitting position. Sorrel was not looking at me at all, and then got tied up round the lead. I was tempted to return to her, but I was told to wait, and actually after a while she sat and looked at me which was fantastic. I did have to wait quite a bit, but then she was fine, and sat there looking at me, and I was able to walk away and return lengthening the period of 'stay'. It was a good exercise to watch and see how long it took the puppies to work out what to do. We also did some heel work, but I've a long way to go with that yet.
Unfortunately they haven't got a class now till next year, so I've booked into the January one.
