Well, today should have been the Opening Meet, but it has been put back a month because of Foot and Mouth, and to give the hounds a bit longer to get fitter.
They are out today, and I'm sure will have a good gallop round over some hedges but decided to go picking up.

Well, they only shoot 4o odd birds today, so really only had a couple of retrieves. It was a lovely sunny warm autumnal day, and nice to see everyone again, (This was their first shoot day.) I really like this shoot though, it is very relaxed and I know everyone and all the covert's so an easy day. Both dogs had some lovely points, and Jaz backs Rusty beautifully, but I forgot my camera so no pics today. Still have to be really on top of them though, definitely not as easy as a lab.
